Google Ads and Google Screened Ads (sometimes referred to as Local Service Ads) are two paid services from Google that allow advertisers to capture more top-of-page exposure in Google's search results pages (a related case study comparing LSA to Google Ads for attorneys).

Google Screened Ads (LSA)

Local Service Ads (i.e. LSA) ads are a relatively new product from Google (another way for it to monetize search pages) that are offered to select industries (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, attorneys, etc). The big difference between LSA and Google Ads is that former are pay-per-lead, NOT pay-per-click. LSA appear at the top of search pages, above the Google Ads (PPC) with a "Google Screened" badge on them.  Often the LSA produce leads at a10x lower cost than Google Ads (PPC).
